The U.S. Department of the Interior's (Department) Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration Program (Restoration Program) reports to the Deputy Assistant Secretary - Policy and International Affairs who reports to the Assistant Secretary - Policy, Management and Budget.

The Restoration Program itself consists of a Restoration Program Manager, an Assistant Program Manager-Operations, an Assistant Program Manager-Restoration, a Restoration Fund Manager, and a Restoration Support Unit.  A workgroup, technical support, and regional coordination made up of representatives from various Department bureaus and offices also make up the Restoration Program.

There is also a representative at the Assistant Director level for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and National Park Service; a Deputy Associate Solicitor; and the Director of the Office of Environmental Policy and Compliance that forms a Restoration Executive Board. The Restoration Executive Board is responsible for overseeing policy direction and approving allocations of resources.
