The U.S. Department of the Interior's (Department) Natural Resource Damage Assessment and
Restoration Program (Restoration Program) reports to the Deputy Assistant Secretary - Policy
and International Affairs who reports to the Assistant Secretary -
Policy, Management and Budget.
The Restoration Program itself consists of a Restoration Program Manager,
an Assistant Program Manager-Operations, an Assistant Program Manager-Restoration,
a Restoration Fund Manager, and a Restoration Support Unit. A workgroup, technical support,
and regional coordination made up of representatives from various Department bureaus and offices
also make up the Restoration Program.
There is also a representative at the Assistant Director level for the
Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation,
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and National Park Service;
a Deputy Associate Solicitor; and the Director of the Office of Environmental Policy and Compliance
that forms a Restoration Executive Board. The Restoration Executive Board is responsible for
overseeing policy direction and approving allocations of resources.
